Nan Baboo Jaiswal 
Founder and Chairperson

Nan Baboo Jaiswal Founder and Chairperson of POWHER is a post-graduate in SOCIAL WORK. He has worked for a number of projects during his twenty-year engagement with an NGO that worked for the upliftment of poor and differently abled children. These experiences created a personal agenda for him to pledge and devote the rest of his life to work for making the lives of the less fortunate worth living

Rozina Suleman
Founder, CEO, Creative and Marketing head

Rozina Suleman has been actively working in the field of social work since she was fifteen years old. She grew up witnessing and fighting the discrimination and struggles in terms of her religion, caste and financial strata in her community. Inspired from her own personal journey, she has a strong belief that, as responsible humans, it’s our moral duty to be kind do as much as we can to cover up for the deficiencies in our society. Her dream is to expand POWHER into a vocational center cum hostel to give home to underprivileged children and adults with special needs.

She met Nan Baboo Jaiswal during her master’s program and together they came up with the idea of POWHER.

Shalini Ali (Co-founder)

Presently secretary and Founder of Kalaam Jan Kalyan Samiti – an NG in Dehradun, Uttarakhand. Donor member at Wishes and Blessings NGO at Delhi. Her educational background includes B.Ed. in Bachelors and Post-graduation in Political Science.  She runs a self-help group that works along these NGOs to educate their members as well as orphan children too. She has a solution-oriented approach to her work and personally believes that right education, moral duties towards self, family and society is of greatest importance.

Her professional work inclines to make a difference in old-fashioned staunch methods of education at grass root level. Through her work she wants to spread the message that “Any religion only advocates Humanity and thus, we should follow it.” 

The saying “Each drop makes an Ocean and only Humanity can spread positivity and success” gives her innate strength to keep walking on this path she has chosen.

 

Dr. Shyamala Mani
Executive member

Shyamala Mani is  Public Health professional with 25 years of international experience in public health practice in India and South Asia. She is an expert in waste management sector. She has evolved new methods, developed several technologies, implemented projects and helped in formulating Rules under Environment Protection Act (EPA) 1986 especially with the Ministry of Environment and Forests, Government of India (GOI). Pioneered and published evaluative techniques implemented in 20 states. She has served as a member of Technical & Advisory Committees in the GOI Ministries of Environment and Forests, Science and Technology, Health & Family Welfare and Education. Currently, she is a professor at National Institute of Urban Affairs. 

  

Dilawar Singh
Legal Advisor

Dilawar Singh is an Advocate at District & High Court of Delhi & Chandigarh. He is associated with S&A Law Firm which provides solutions in the practices of Litigation, Alternate Dispute Resolution, Commercial Transactions, Corporate and Allied Laws, Intellectual Property Rights, Indirect Tax, Customs & Trade and Valuation.

Reshma Singh
Advance skills trainer, Sales Representative, Project Coordinator

Reshma Singh was initially a teacher at a Delhi based Public School but she never found her heart in that work. She always had an edge for creative and crafty things and she enjoyed practicing various skills simultaneously with her academics. After her schooling, she did multiple courses in vocational skills including stitching, embroidery, mehendi designing, dress designing and immediately joined as a trainer. She single-handedly manages our center at Man Sarovar and has 70 underprivileged girls in her training program. She identifies this job as a part of her personality and her loving relationship with those girls is where she finds her strength in life. 



Sumedha Tulani
Psychologist, Head of Rehabilitation, Content Creator

Sumedha Tulani completed her masters in Clinical Psychology from Amity University. She has a wholesome working experience of 3 years in areas of trauma informed counselling and psychotherapy, social work in mental health and teaching.

Her combined love for handicrafts and psychology brought her at POWHER. 

Here, she gets the freedom to practice eclectic approach for holistic rehabilitation of our people with special needs (ADHD, Autism, Intellectual disability, differently abled) and their family members. Her sessions focus on assessing each special person’s uniqueness and strengths and accordingly teach them vocational skills with help of psychotherapeutic interventions. Her sessions also include special education, expressive arts and movement activities for cognitive, developmental, behavioral growth of each person. 

 

Anil Kumar
Advance skills trainer, Production Supervisor

Anil Kumar is a vocational instructor for special and differently abled people. That’s all he has been doing since his first job ever. It’s because of his unique leadership traits that our team of special adults now understand the “Flower Recycling” process and is also learning it as another vocational skill.
