POWHER team trained our young girls to volunteer and be a resourceful individual during pandemic. In 2nd lockdown our girls learnt to stitch masks. They proactively executed in providing daily meals to 250 ragpickers and beggars staying at footpath cooked from our community kitchen. These girls also worked in shifts to distribute dry ration to 3244 families. All of this was done for 3months.
12 other volunteer girls from our center also sanitized the entire local areas of East Delhi including IHBAS hospital, public toilets, Banjara Basti community residing at Shahdara flyover. Along with it, our team also visited 75 homes of covid recovered patients on special request.
